- Always cross the street in the front of the bus.

For instance, school buses slow down more slowly due to their size. Therefore, if you are driving a sedan and following a bus, apply the brakes in plenty of time. The school bus in front of you will also come to a complete stop, so make sure not to roll too close. And if they are pulling over on a 2-lane road to let kids on or off, make sure to give plenty of distance.
